Firstly, if you belong to the following category:
- I don't stand a chance for this international competition
- My college didn't teach me any useful advanced coding stuff
- I don't have enough skills bla bla...
Then it's time you build some self confidence first! They select more than 1000 students so you stand a bright chance. Every college is somewhat like that with respect to advanced coding. And you can always gain some skills. Remember, most of the selected ones are undergraduates in GSoC!
So if you are still reading, that means you're interested. Unless you are one of those who just gather knowledge and never act upon, it's time to get to work.
